Mary Ann Duhart of Stockton Ca Wins Trophy in 9-11 Poetry contest sponsored by poetry with passion

Hermitage, PA (PressExposure) September 11, 2009 -- For Immediate Release
‘Passionate Patriotic Poems’
By Poets-World-Wide
A ‘Passion for Poetry’ Production
‘Passionate Patriotic Poems’ is one of the many books done by Passion for Poetry by Poets-World-Wide. These poets are extremely versatile and well known writers of this era.
The poet group came to the call, from all over the world, when Daveda Gruber and Patricia Ann Farnsworth- Simpson asked for tribute poems for 9/11 to be posted on Poetry with Passion, a well respected poetry site.
A contest was created with extra points going to a newly created poetic form. A magnificent acrylic trophy, in star shaped cylinders symbolizing the twin towers from a mirrored base with gold stars with nine and eleven engraved on the golden tops that reflect to the sky, was given to the writer of the winning poem. Mary Ann Duhart created her own poetic form for this competition. Her winning poem is entitled ‘Day of Sadness’, the poetic form is ‘F&L Rhyming Mary's Way.’ All administrative personnel were automatically not eligible to win.
The caring natures of the poets involved took action. Poems were written about the impact on the world, in tribute to the fallen on that day, by writers from one end of the globe to the other. The poems are first rate and show different aspects of the feelings felt on that day and afterwards.
Participating writers are in alphabetic order:
Kathleen Charnes-Zvetkoff

All Proceeds from the sales of the book go to The Fireman’s Fund. One of the Poets writing a poem, Robert Hewett Sr.’s son is a firefighter and this is why the charity was chosen.
At this time the book is available at, but it will be available on all Internet stores very soon.
