Women & Epilepsy One Day Educational Forum Friday, November 3, 2006 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sheraton at Woodbridge Place Iselin, New Jersey November is Epilepsy Awareness Month. During this important month, on Friday, November 3rd the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey is hosting a conference focusing on women with epilepsy. Women with epilepsy have specific, often overlooked, problems. Seizures often begin in puberty, making the time in a young woman’s life even more difficult. Seizures, especially the medications that control them, can cause changes in a woman’s body. Caring for children and dealing with hormonal cycles also can create problems for women with epilepsy.
