Double-Dragon Publishing will publish 'Gauntlet' in 2014.  A short synopsis of this sci-fi/suspenser from Terry Lloyd Vinson:

Fifty-one contestants, all over forty years of age and having earned the distinction of representing their U.S. state of birth, vie for the ultimate prize in a futuristic foot race that will stretch the limits of sanity and endurance.

 Tasked to compete within a billion-dollar, state-of-the-art superdome located at the center of a vast, desolate desert range, the racers soon discover the challenge of merely keeping the pace a distant second to survival in what will become a grueling nightmare of of hellish, techno-manufactured weather conditions and winner-take-all ruthlessness.  

'Gauntlet' is the twelfth teaming of DDP and the Terry Vinson, and will be available sometime in 2014.
