A wonderful conference, quirky Portland continues its expansion around the globe. One writer said she was in Hollywood and was told the Portland Willamette's Writers Conference was one of the best to attend.
As a new writer learning my craft the kindness and education provided by the literary agents at the "pitch practice" session was delightful. Great literary agent tips...yummy morsals to feed to my snapsing brain.
I met new writer friends, Rowena Holloway and Diane Hester from South Australia. Rowena wrote a "Mediterranean Noir Mystery" and Diane is a suspense writer.
Next year the conference will have to be identified as an "international" writers conference. An appreciation to Bill Johnson for his disheveled exterior yet calmness and inner peace in being the strong core of WW to oversee the many details of conference planning.
I met Randolph Crew, author of A Killing Shadow and One-Way Mission...two books I'm definitely going to read.
