Thank you Erin Sauder of Press Publications for the feature article written about me on 9/10/2010. This article is a great account about the nature of my writing.
“Donna Marie always dabbled a little bit in writing. But it was the encouragement she received in high school that made her consider pursuing it as a future career.
“My freshman English teacher told me he thought I had potential as a writer,” she said. “He inspired me to keep with it.”
But it wasn’t until after Donna started her family that she went back to writing. At the time, she focused on children’s stories and then began writing human-interest articles for newspapers and magazines. She also took writing classes.
In 2004, Donna Marie published her first novel, “Love For Angela,” which also landed her an interview by Marie Osmond on Osmond’s radio show.
“The interview was one of the highlights of my writing career,” Donna Marie said.
She now has a new book out, titled “We Can Love Again.” The book is available as an e-book at www.bookstrand.com/donna-marie, Amazon, and more. It will be available as a paperback later this year.
The novel took Donna Marie about two years to complete.
“I work full-time and I have my kids — life is hectic,” Donna Marie said. “But every night I’d sit with my laptop on my lap, whether the television was going or not, and write a paragraph or two or a chapter or two. Before I knew it, the whole thing came together.”
Besides writing novels, she keeps busy with freelance writing on a wide array of subjects, from living green to health care.
