I'm so excited to announce that my true romance, "Tender Persuasion" is now available for sale in the AuthorsDen Bookstore. Like my other books, this one went "Out of Print" when my publisher closed a couple of years ago. The tagline for Tender Persuasion is so true ...
A true story of tragedy and terror,
Of understanding and patience,
Of courage and triumph.
I spent many hours with the actual victim in this book. Her story is both tragic and unforgettable. The brutal rape she suffered at the hands of a madman would have left any normal woman cringing in a corner for the rest of her life. This woman, though, beat the odds. She came back from a horrific assault and learned to live and love again. Of course, the fact that the man in her life should be nominated for sainthood didn't hurt, either. Their story is a testament to the fact that love can, indeed, conquer all.
If you're of a mind to read "Tender Persuasion", keep in mind that some of the scenes are sexually graphic. They have to be for the reader to understand Kaitlyn's level of terror, and Marc's level of devotion. When I first started writing the book, I wanted to handle the rape scenes "tactfully." The victim herself is the one who told me that I couldn't. I had to show what a warped bastard this guy was for the reader to fully understand what she went through--and to show that even the most violent rapes can be overcome.
