As a lifetime reader of romantic historical fiction, one of the things I love about the books of the genre are the beautiful book covers. When I was struck with the inspiration for my own period love story, I had so many ideas for a cover that when it came down to choosing one, I could not decide. I procrastinated for so long that I settled for something that was quick and graphic and adequate, but…I settled.
Long story short, I have a lovely daughter-in-law whose looks transcend any time period and a dogwalking companion with the talent to transform her. Now, it doesn’t take much to make her look beautiful, but to turn her into a work of art reminiscent of the master of the era (doesn’t she look a little like the Mona Lisa only prettier?) that is another matter entirely. Anyway, it took my friend about twenty minutes to take the photos, about an hour to put her on the coast of Spain, and the result is stunning.
I am celebrating my beautiful new bookcover by reducing the prices on my full-length novels by 33%. That means that the complete edition formerly $8.99 is now only $5.99, and the abridged edition that was $5.99 is now $3.99 (And let me say that the abridged edition is by no means ‘mini’ as commented by a reader. It is nearly 400 pages!) That is only about penny per page for a “spellbinding”, “engaging”, “sumptuously beautiful” "love story not to be missed!” *
So, that’s my news! A new cover and new lower prices. Now all I have to do is worry about the four novelettes. Stay tuned!
