I offer a periodic newsletter for those who would like to keep up-to-date on my latest writings and events. You will be the first to know the progress of all of my writing projects. I'd love to share this with you!
Newsletter Dated: 12/1/2003 8:26:36 AMSubject: December
Hello to all. How are you this first day of December?
How was your Thanksgiving? Are you busy preparing for Christmas? It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and preparations that come with this time of year. Remember during this Advent season to prepare your hearts for the One who came to save us all. Jesus - He came as a baby, lived as a man, but took on the sins of the world to save each of us - for you and me. Wow! He loves us that much!
How do you transition from that? All my news seems insignificant now. But, here goes anyway. . .
December 13, I will be at the Bossard Memorial Library in Gallipolis from 2-4pm. Just after 2, I will do a talk with questions and answers. Then, I will gladly sign your books. OH, big NEWS! Come to Me books will be available there for purchase, as will The Way Home. There will be many door prizes from local businesses and supporters. You can earn tickets by showing up with a smiling face to listen to me talk, having me sign your book, or buying books. Please come show your support. Visit my websites for details on the merchants supplying these wonderful prizes.
Listen on Joy FM and their AM sister station on Tuesday, Dec. 9 around 3pm, and 101.5 The River on Thursday, Dec. 11 on the Tina Merry show 10-3. I will be talking with them about The For Hymn Mystery Series and promoting the book signing.
Have you seen any articles in the paper yet? There will be a book review and several articles leading up to the signing as well. Please spread the word, and come see me in Gallipolis!
By the way. . .you can still win the contest for a free, signed copy of COME TO ME - book II. Be the first person to write a review on one of my websites after reading the book, and voila. . .you've won.
And, to finish up, I'll share this story. Coming home from the Cleveland signing last weekend, I was really tired and wondering if all this publicity, and even the writing was worth it. Does it really matter anyway? We pulled into our driveway, and there was a package with my two author copies of Come To Me. This book is dedicated to my daughter, and she did not know it until the moment she opened the package and read it in there. I had kept that part a secret from her. Her reaction confirmed that yes, indeed it is worth it. "Yes, God. I got the message."
May God bless you and continually remind you, as He does me, that doing His work is indeed worth it.
