How was your summer? We sure did travel a lot. Although I didn’t want the kids to return to school, I am happy to stay put for awhile. We experienced lots of fun, laughter, and sunshine, plus the joy of new birth – my niece, Kate. :) I even snuck in a speaking engagement at a day camp in Pataskala – What fun! Unfortunately, we also shared tears at the death of Snowball, the rabbit that started the furry critter collection around here.
Did you pick up your copy of the Chicken Soup for the Scrapbooker’s Soul? Page 211 has my short story, “Our Scrapbook Journey!” Chicken Soup also requested two of my stories for the New Mom’s Soul coming out in April 2007. That’s exciting!
I’ve cut back on teaching this year to focus more on writing. Check out the ‘Works in Progress’ page on my website. There is a new children’s picture book series and puzzle book. The Erin Klicker Mystery – Missing on the Mountain is progressing too. This quirky girl is fun to work with and develop!
All you writers, be sure to visit the ‘Writing Aids’ page on the website. Anthology requests have been updated. There are several new ones there, such as Beach Lovers and a new illustrated kids’ book. Writing true short stories is great fun!
I am setting up my speaking and book signing calendar now. Some of you contacted me this summer, but with travel, I was unable to reply promptly. I’m trying to respond to those requests now. Please drop me another line. We’ll get our dates worked out together!
Let me know how you spent your summer – the joys and tears. We’ll laugh, cry, and pray together. Students, teachers, and parents – I hope your school year has started well. You are in my prayers.
Love to you all,
