Subject: Health from the Motherland

Now that the Memorial Day holiday has ended, many of us find ourselves doing some "day after" repenting about what we should have avoided shoving into our orifices. (In this case that would be the mouth, for some who equate orifice with other more delicate unmentionable parts).

Depending on what you and I chose to eat, let's recall that wonderful phrase "you are what you eat." That alone can be a scary thought, just knowing that undigested food from red meat can remain in the colon for years.

And years. . . . and years. Let's just say a hamburger from the drive in restaurant that was popular when hot pants were in style may still be lacquered somewhere on the walls of our large intestines collecting all sorts of toxins that leech into our bloodstream. And what results from all of our bad eating habits? An FDA free for all of all kinds of drugs for heartburn and indigestion.

Well, I figure if my uncle's pit bull "Poppy" -- who gets a bit of indigestion from the last racoon that unfortunately crossed his path--turns to my aunts flower garden and chews off all of the stems of the succulent perennials, why don't we higher on the creation scale humans follow suit? Herbals can't make Wall Street wealthy--Wall Street depends on drugs to do that--but it can give all of us an equal footing when it comes to taking care of our health.

I do believe after reading a number of credible sites on the internet, and speaking with herbal healers that cancer and diabetes can be cured, even erradicated. I know that the medical science of Ayur Vedic healing is a lot more credible than some senate subcommittee that tries to tell me what I can and cannot put into my body that Dr. God created long before we even knew how to have sex.

And I believe that if we eat better, we'll feel better, and act more civil towards each other. So let's not bomb the world, let's feed, educate and heal the world.

Who knows, it just might make this a better place.
blessin's, see you June 30!
