Re: Doogie's MRI:
Pineal Gland: Approximately 9mm cyst present within the pineal gland--greater in size than expected for his age. Follow-up needed (4 months) with and without contrast to rule out a tumor. (If the 'growth' increases in size, it isn't a cyst. The pineal gland is at the base of the brain stem where the two halves of the brain come together to sit atop the spinal cord----a place where surgery isn't viable.)
Other: Normal lenses not visualized; postoperative changes are evident. Orbital globes are distorted and irregular in configuration. The optic nerves appear atrophied. (No hope--even with advances in artificial retinas--of restoring vision if the optic nerves have completely deteriorated.)

Yesterday marked the 13th anniversary of Doug's murder; next year (2006) at approximately the same date, James P. Kiehl II (who supposedly had '20 years GUARANTEED-to life' in prison) is up for parole.

My daughter, Sherry, pregnant for the 15th time, is three months along. She called last night to say she is spotting and her doc has ordered her to bed for the rest of her pregnancy ... or else lose it.
