Hello,
I'm very busy raising an eight year old grandson who has cerebral palsy and is blind in one eye.
I'm editing several novels and have completed two illustrated poetry books. Currently I'm looking for interested publishers.
Would love to keep in touch with everyone who enjoys my poetry but there is never enough time. If you'd like updates on what's going on, you'll find it here.
Love,
Sandy

Update on Mariah.
She's 3 1/2 months, 5 lbs. 3 1/2 ozs. and currently has been transferred from Good Sam in Dayton, Ohio to a facility in Michigan. Sherry is staying in Michigan at a Ronald McDonald house while Sergio continues working.
Both of the baby's retinas collasped, she is/was totally blind.
However, Mariah underwent eye surgery on BOTH eyes this morning to reattached BOTH retinas. Her expected recouperation period will be 2-4 weeks. Until then we won't know whether the reattachment was successful in either or both eyes.
Her health, otherwise, continues to improve.
Mariah, still 'at risk' for SIDS, is continuing to use a heart monitor and oxygen as her body isn't yet on 'automatic'--i.e. she forgets to breathe and/or her heart stops.
As for Doogie, he's looking forward to school being out (June 15th is his last day), is learning to play the guitar (Al is learning too and teaching him), and sidelined only by his allergies/sinus problems at this time of the year.
You, my friend, are my backbone, support group and inspiration :)! Know that, be safe, be silly and know that "I" love you dearly :)!
Keep in touch and take care.
GLY&SDI,
:) Sandy
