Friends and Family,
Marie's monthly newsletter will showcase a chapter from one of her romance novels, poetry and other writings each month. Marie always wanted her novels to be read and published like the serials newspapers and magazines had, so the newsletter will be the only chance to read and enjoy Marie's romance novels. Join today.

Subject: Happy 2009!
Hello Family & Friends,
I know it's been awhile since I sent out a newsletter, and I'm sorry about that! I got really busy in the fall semester and now that I have some time since I'm on the holiday break I'd thought I'd send out a newsletter to ring in 2009.
This newsletter will be rather newsy. It'll catch you up on what I've been up to and it has some **exciting** announcements too!
For Christmas, I got a laptop from my lover man, and I'm really excited about that! The laptop will be my school and personal writing computer. My resolution is to write more this year but not sure how possible that'll be considering I have a year left of school and this year looks like it'll be just as busy for me as it was last year.
My husband started a new job about six months ago. His company paid to send him to school in the fall so I had to share the computer - - which explains why I wasn't online as much. Between sharing a computer, my classes, tutoring an undergraduate student and helping my husband by proofreading his written work, and a full time job at the newspaper is ALWAYS enough to keep me too busy to write - - much to my dismay - - each semester.
My hubby won't have any classes this spring thankfully, but it'll be busy for me with two online classes. After this spring, I will need two more classes for my master's degree in education and two classes for my teaching license. The plan is for me to complete my master's degree this summer and finish my license in fall 2009. Thus, I'll be student teaching and graduating in spring 2010.
On top of my school accomplishments, I'm really excited about being nearly completed my Malan & Lathal novel, Camp Lone Star. During the holiday break, I'm working on revising a section in the last chapter, and then sending it to my friend, proofreader and critique mistress for another pass. I should be done with that in the next few days. My friend, proofreader and critique mistress I are giving the book a last review. I'm really satisfied with the way this book turned out!
I'd like to get Camp Lone Star published. I may submit it to PublishAmerica again. PublishAmerica published "Bryce". I'm also considering going with self - publishing companies such as iUniverse or Lulu.com. If I go with iUniverse or Lulu, I'll have to wait till after I graduate to publish this book.
If anyone has any information about publishing with Lulu.com or have a suggestion about publishers for Camp Lone Star, please email me.
More exciting news, I am starting the process of revising my other Malan & Lathal novel, Matters of the Heart (formerly Sexy Bedtime Stories. This book was renamed in 2007). For those who don't remember Matters of the Heart is the book where Lathal's father dies over Christmas and when our beloved couple, Malan & Lathal, marry.
With busy school and work schedules, it'll probably take me two years or more to revise this book. It took me two years to revise Camp Lone Star but it turned it out great!
My husband & I also have our first home improvement project of the year! We already used our Home Depot card we got for Christmas. We got stick on gray vinyl tile and we're working on tiling our den, living room and hallway. It'll look nice once we're done. Other home improvement projects on the list for this year are a new toilet, screen doors, bathroom sink and more.
Here's wishing everyone a productive and wonderful new year!
