Friends and Fellow Travelers:
Each one of our lives, from birth to death, is an adventure. And, each adventure brushes by, touches, stays briefly or adheres longer with countless others' adventures. We are to marvel and be marvelled at, you and I. I'm speaking to you... and to you... and to you... as individuals. At some point, the paths of our adventures crossed. With you, we may have smiled in passing. With you, my dear friend, my wife, my son, my daughter... our paths may have joined to a wider highway. With you I may have stayed but an hour and laughed... with you the hour was spent in tears. With you our paths well may cross again. Have our lessons not been learned well enough? Do we need more time? May this offering be a way -- not the only way, certainly not the best way, perhaps, but a way -- of reaching out... Newsletter Dated: 12/27/2005 10:40:23 AMSubject: A Few Words, A Thank-You, A Request and A Promise Dear Friends and Fellow Travelers:
Just a few words, a thank-you, a request and, finally, a promise.
I hope every one of you had a marvelous Holiday, receiving countless blessings and not just a few goodies.
I know that I received an unexpected gift after I turned on my computer this morning. I found "The Mumph Legacy" had skyrocketed to 42 "Over-All" and a whopping 13 under "Fiction." When I started on the 8th of December at 104, I had dreams (but very little hope) of ever reaching the top 10. Now I see it as a very real possibility.
So… to all you who downloaded "The Mumph Legacy" I want to thank you humbly, and sincerely—from the top of my humble lungs!
Now, for the "request" portion, which, if nothing more, lets you know you are but one paragraph removed from the last—the "promise." So… for those of you who loved "The Mumph Legacy" or hated it or fell asleep trying to get through it, won't you vent your feelings with a review? It doesn't have to be more than a few words, and even UNFAVORABLE reviews—when sincere—are GOOD reviews. The number one "short" in the "Over-All" category, for example, has only three, out of a possible five, stars! So, for goodness sake, VENT…
And, now, the promise you've all been waiting for was… was… just to get you to read this far. No, seriously, I promise not to be knocking on your email door any time soon with any more of these notices of my Amazon positioning. I've had a whole lotta fun writing these little insanities (spell-check keeps trying to change it to inanities!), and I truly hope they haven't imposed, too much, on your space or time.
Remember to remember to keep looking
Always Upward,
Jay
