Hello my little sweaty dahlinks!

Yes, don't we just love, love, love the HEAT of the summer! Well, it's the middle of June and so far I have only been to the beach once and my pool in the back yard - ZERO!! There has got to be a way I can work, write and do stuff from it somehow just haven't figured it out yet!!

I just wanted to say HELLO DAHLINKS and throw a big shout out that I got to hook up again last week with one of ze "Big Four" our own TERRY (MANOSKI) FOSTER!!
Terry and I got to hook up for a night while we were both in San Francisco last week! Limo anyone? What fun we had and it was so good to see her again! She looks so FANTASTIC!! So Young! So Thin!! So now, I'm 3 for 3 so far this year with seeing some of ze fellow "Country Clubbers" - Sonya, Keith and now Terry!!! I still got six more months left this year, so hope to see some more of you!

We also had a great time with Scruffy's (aka Tom's) cousins - John and Vicki Mickley from Bend, Oregon - ah what I wouldn't give for a Cosmopolitan and a little "Back door man" right now! HA! I miss riding cable cars with them too (and ze limo)!!

Don't forget to come to class kiddies at Barnes & Noble of Mandarin and see moi for our usual Tuesday night fix for Creative Writing. We are working on entering contests and getting our stuff published and IN YOUR FACE, so come mingle and listen to some of the best artist/writers in Jax. Also don't forget that the Poetry Group meets there on Thursday night June 13th and the other Creative Writing Group will be there on Sunday June 16th and June 30th from 1 - 3 pm.

Come to our monthly Florida Writers Association Meeting at the Deerwood Library SE off of Gate Parkway - This month's meeting is more on "How to Make Money and Sell Books on Your Summer Vacation" - Come learn how to have fun in the sun and write it off and sell books all at the same time! Thanks to Rhea Griffith from Neighborhood Press for being our guest speaker last month - if you missed it - SHAME, SHAME!! She was fantabulous and gave us some great advice and discussed the publishing biz!!

Ok, kids I will be back with sparklers in hand the first of July to fill ya in on what's happening then! Lots and LOTS!!! I'm also working on our OPEN MIC JACKSONVILLE, poetry anthology with the help of Neighborhood Press, working on "DANCZAH" and the rewrites for "FLY" which all will hopefully be released in 2003!! I'm still working part time and full time as well and OH YEAH - before I forget - CHECK OUT the review on "PASSING THOUGHTS" at Myshelf.com this month! Sue Johnson gave it a super, super review and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her - so when you are surfing around give it a read!
