From time to time, mostly when I want to have a bit of fun, I'll use the newsletter to point you to a page I've set up on my website just for Newsletter recipients to see something special, and exclusive! After all, there have to be some cool perks to being on a list like this!

2003 has started off in some rather amazing ways.
I don't know which has shocked me more, the space shuttle Columbia not returning safely home, or the murder in California of Lana Clarkson, an actress I knew and had seen and gotten to know at conventions over the past two years.
To say the very least, it is awesome to think that someone I knew and considered a friend is gone -- that I will never see her again, and yet the entire world is aware of the unfortunate circumstances surrounding her death.

On a more positive, and yet oddly related note, I just returned from a trip back east during which I stopped at 3 more state capitols. So I hope to have some more images posted soon. (I was returning from that trip on I-20 when I stopped in Jackson, Mississippi for the night so I could shoot the capitol during the day. Were it not for shooting the state capitols I most likely would have spent the night in the debris zone. As was I woke up to the news, and decided to alter my route and go south and come home to Texas on Interstate 10 instead of Interstate 20.)

Well, that's it for this update -- I hope to have a more positive and fun filled update in the not too distant future. But for now I'm all too aware that www.kaykellam.com and popartsplace.com are both having record number hits this month because of the pages about Lana Clarkson that have been up for the past two years.
I hope one and all are having a wonderful 2003, or at least making it the best it can be.
