THE POETRY LIFE & TIMES SUPPLEMENT
Sara L. Russell's Newsletter, November 2003
Dear Poet Friends,
Although I know that there has not been a newsletter from me for a while, this month I had to write and let you know my latest news, not least of which is....
WORLDS INSIDE THE HEAD
My new e-book on CD ROM
published by Kedco Studios Inc.
...this is an e-book which features my poetry with animated 3D illustrations, video and audio recitals, both in web page and PDF format. Also featured is an illustrated full-length children's story: The Rebel Princess. To find out more, paste this URL into your browser:
...and the order page is here:
(scroll down for the order form). A limited number of autographed review copies are available for friends who would like to review this book in return for me reviewing one of theirs. To request one, visit my message board.
IN OTHER NEWS...
The November 2003 issue of Poetry Life & Times features the amazingly-talented Joseph R. Armstead. Joseph is a poet, illustrator and horror fiction writer. Here is the URL for the November issue:
Those of you who like our logo, or are fans of The Perils of Norris cartoon, can now buy T shirts, mugs and other cool stuff from our merchandise store:
MY LIFE AND TIMES:
I have joined the local gym and go there every working day, just before going to my afternoon job. It's not as boring as I thought it would be, and it seems to have sharpened my concentration for work, later in the day. Music videos are played in the gym, so I work out in time with the music. This is part of a regime that has gone on for two years and started with swimming three times a week. My weight is more under control now and when I swim (less often now) I can go further without stopping for a break.
Our local poetry group is still going strong and we have been seeking more members who live in the area. We meet on the first Thursday of every month of the year, to take turns in reading our poems on a set theme.
WEIRD WEBSITE OF THE DAY.
If you have Flash 5 or above, the bizarre website of the rock group Goldfrapp is not to be missed! You have never seen anything like this (contains some 'arty' adult material)...
If you are actually a fan of this band, you will enjoy it even more than those who will enjoy the almost Monty Python-esque graphics.
...I will be posting more poems on my Den soon. I'm not sure which ones to enter in the contest, and which to simply post. Watch this space....
