Do you believe in ghosts? Is reincarnation real? What is it like to receive visions from God? How would you handle it, if you received dire premonitions about family members and friends? Are UFO's visiting earth? Have you ever had a premonition while awake or in a dream? Do some people actually have ESP? Do we all have angels and/or spirit guides? What is it like living in a haunted house?
All these questions and more are topics of discussion in my Glimpses of the Paranormal newsletter. To get a free subscription, just e-mail me at marthajette.yahoo.com. I am interested in any stories you might have to share as well.

Well, I've managed to get this to you on time this month. And I must say, what wonderful weather we're having. Summer was a bust, but September finally brought those warm, sunny days we've all been waiting for.
The story this month is about Kathy Browning, who tells us how she met the love of her life. A little background on Kathy. Twelve years ago, she was diagnosed with multiple chemical sensitivities. This propelled her onto a path to find alternative healing therapies and spiritual self-discovery.
In January 2000, after being down-sized at her job for the third time in two years, the Indianapolis resident decided to go it alone. Kathy is now founder of three on-line businesses - Cancer Comfort, Spiritual Peacemaker and Wellness Coaching. Her Cancer Comfort site offers everything someone with this terrible disease could need, from a Health and Wellness Article Library and Daily Comfort Kits, to more than 300 all-natural personal care products, and links to alternative therapies, clinical trials, support groups, financial assistance and more. Of course, she also offers her own Wellness Coaching packages.
Kathy calls her Spiritual Peacemakers site a sacred space for those seeking spiritual peace. This site presents resources to empower both mind and spirit. She also offers Young Living Essential Oils and Dietary Supplements. And if that were not enough, she is also a representative for Cognigen Telecommunications.
Here is her story:
In January 1999, I was working at a health food store and a woman named Cheryl Rose came in once a week to do massage therapy. She had just become an instructor for a specific type of energy work and was puttting together a workshop . It was going to be held in her home, which was about a one-hour drive from my home.
At the time, I was a single mom, working part time and money was tight. The cost of the workshop made it prohibitive for me to attend and making arrangements for childcare three weekends in a row was challenging. However, Cheryl was adamant that I attend. Against all my protests, Cheryl pulled enough strings to get me there.
The day before the workshop, she was telling me about the other attendees. She mentioned that a man named Brad would be there. I told her that if a man was going to be there, I wasn't going to come. I wanted to work through some male issues and felt it wouldn't be possible with one there. Cheryl said, "Oh, don't worry. Brad is one of the girls." I assumed that meant he was gay, so I agreed to attend.
When Brad arrived, it was obvious that he was far from gay. He had these sad, puppy dog eyes and was rather nervous about being there. I later found out that his mom had just passed away after a five-year battle with breast cancer. He was an only child and very close to his mom. There were four other women there and we each took our turn mothering Brad.
The following Saturday, we did an exercise which incorporated Reiki energy and another technique. I was partnered with Brad and was instructed to place my hands on his back. Within seconds after touching him, I felt like I was being pulled into his energy field! It got stronger and stronger, until it felt like we were swirling together and I began to see glimpses of lifetimes with this ma. It was the strangest experience I've every had.
I remember thinking, "What if I can't disconnect and get completely sucked into his body?" Just then Cheryl walked over and gently separated us. She then explained that we were having a past-life experience. She told us that Brad's mother had pulled a lot of strings to make sure we were at Cheryl's workshop together. She said we had agreed to meet again at this time in our lives!
That particular day, I had car pooled with another attendee and it just so happened that Brad only lived about 15 minutes from my house. Remember, Cheryl lived in another city and half of the attendees lived near her, not inn Indianapolis where I lived. Brad drove me home that night and we stayed up until the wee hours of the morning talking about all that had happened. It was as if we had known each other all of our lives.
We began dating and about three months into our relationship, we were at my house one evening watching a movie. I heard someone whispering my name! There was no one else home and Brad said he couldn't hear it. I got up and walked down the hall, and realized that the voice was coming from my daughter's room. I opened the door and there stood the most beautiful woman, just radiating with light!
As soon as I sw her, I knew she was Brad's mom. I had never met his mom, nor seen a photo of her, but I knew who she was. She had eyes the color of the sea and she wasn't in a body. She just radiated energy. I remember thinking, "She looks just like a hologram on Star Trek." She told me some very personal things about herself and her life. I was just chatting away with her like this was an everyday occurrence. Then Brad walked in and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was talking to his mom and then we both realized what I had said. When I looked back at where she had been, she was gone. I told Brad everything she had said and he knew there was no way I could have known, unless I had actually spoken with her.
Now, it gets even better.....
Betty, Brad's mom, had a best friend named Ida, who owned a jewelery store. Ida made several custom pieces for Betty and was like a second mom to Brad. Brad and I were engaged in July 2000 and Ida made my wedding set. It needed to be sized and when we took it to her, she told us that she was going to close her store and move to Las Vegas, because of her husband's health. Her goal was to be out by October 2001.
On Christmas Eve 2001, I had just finished taking my shower, when all of a sudden Betty arrived in the bathroom! She told me that it was time for Brad and me to get married. She said we needed to go to Ida's store right away to get Brad's wedding ring. I told her that Ida was already gone, but she said, "No, she isn't." She was insistent that we must go to Ida's that day and said that we had to get married on the 29th - just five days away!
So, I went out and told Brad that his mom had visited and what she had said. He told me to call Ida and if she was still there, we would figure out how in the world we could get married in 4 1/2 days. Well, you guessed it! Ida answered the phone and said she would be closing at 6 p.m. We drove to her store, which was about an hour away. It was snowing like crazy, but we went anyway. When we arrived, there was a big sign in the parking lot that read, "Going Out of Business - Closing 12/24/01." We couldn't believe our eyes!
On Christmas Day we announced that we were getting married in four days and everyone offered to pitch in and help. We were married on December 29, 2001. Betty doesn't show up often now, but when she does, we listen!
1) Well, I can hardly believe it. My children's book is waiting for the front cover picture. Once I get it all formatted, it will be off to a publisher. Pray for me that it is accepted.
2) I think you are all aware of psychic Sylvia Browne from her countless appearances on the Montel Show. Well, she is coming to my hometown on Nov. 9. The tickets are very expensive, but I am hoping that through some stroke of heavenly intervention, I will be able to attend.
3) And last, but certainly not least. CHML Radio here in Hamilton would like me to return for another call-in show on the paranormal in the latter half of October. Yahooooo!!!!!!
