Do you believe in ghosts? Is reincarnation real? What is it like to receive visions from God? How would you handle it, if you received dire premonitions about family members and friends? Are UFO's visiting earth? Have you ever had a premonition while awake or in a dream? Do some people actually have ESP? Do we all have angels and/or spirit guides? What is it like living in a haunted house?

All these questions and more are topics of discussion in my Glimpses of the Paranormal newsletter. To get a free subscription, just e-mail me at marthajette.yahoo.com. I am interested in any stories you might have to share as well.

Subject: Glimpses of the Paranormal

Issue: IV
Volume: VII

Hello Everyone!

I hope May 2007 finds all of you happy, healthy and getting the most out of life. It has been a busy time for me as I try to wrap up the final chapters of my newest book: Death Dreams. This paranormal/crime/drama features an FBI agent covering a series of strange kidnappings/murder/suicides, while at the same time attempting to cope with a string of bizarre visions that seem strangely related to the case.

This month, I’d like to focus on the Indigo Children, who are truly a fascinating lot. You may even have kids just like them, so it will also be a learning experience for you as the parent of one of these exceptional children.

Indigo Children Bring New Hope To A Crazy World

Talk about the new kids on the block! These children may just save this crazy world from self-destruction. They are called the Indigo Children and they bring with them abilities that you and I can only imagine.

It is believed that these super kids first started being born in the 1980s. Since then, they have proven to be a modern-day phenomenon. Some call them Crystal, Star or Blue Children, but regardless of their label, these children may have any of a number of abilities, including a strong intuition about things, knowing things they should not otherwise know,
Jan Tober, co-author of a book called The Indigo Children, says these children are our hope for the future and feels that every teacher and parent should be made aware of them. However, the outward signs of these children may appear as just plain annoying. Many are diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or hyperactivity (ADHD). These disorders often cause more angst than anything else, so parents and teachers often view these children as problems, rather than gifted kids. Often, they are put on Ritalin as well.
However, what these children really are, are very old souls in tiny bodies, who are trying their best to cope in a world where their opinions are generally not considered. Parents and teachers will often view them as bossy and obstinate when they try to express themselves. These children try to rationalize everything. The old parental ploys using guilt and/or shame just do not work with these kids. They must be given choices and explanations, where otherwise it would not be offered to a child.

Indigos seem to register emotional, physical and psychological input at an unusually high frequency, in the same way some audio equipment is designed to pick up sound waves in the upper ranges. Consequently, their systems reach overload more quickly. This means that they tire more easily and can become confused from too much noise or chaos. They have extremely sensitive neural systems. Excessive excitement or prolonged stimulation can cause them to withdraw into themselves. Adults misunderstand this behavior as being contrary or difficult, when it is simply the Indigo child attempting to find emotional respite.
These "old masters" are here on a mission, which is to enlighten humanity about what is really important and they need to be heard. They know that love is the only answer to solving the problems of this crazy world. They have been born around the world and are quite actively studied in such places as Asia and China. There are also groups in Canada and the United States that consist of parents and Indigo children who come together to share their experiences and support each other.
So why would I even want to talk about this subject? It is very simple. I have two grandchildren who may be Indigo children. I have visited the various web sites on the net (some of which I've listed below) and read up on what these children are like. My grandson especially fits the bill perfectly. Not only is he wise well beyond his years, he is extremely smart and sometimes sees spirits and angels around him.
He is a real problem solver when it comes to all things and can find solutions that normal children would not even consider. He also hates being told what to do. If you ask him nicely, he is much more likely to respond in a positive way and even more so, if you explain to him why you want this or that done.

Of course, my grandson also enjoys many things that other children his age like to do. He has played hockey since he was five years old and loves to excel in everything he does. He is also a very loving child, but he must be “in the mood.” He is more of a practical thinker, which I believe will take him far in life. He also has a drive that is most unusual for his age and I can't help but admire that.

Now, here is a story from a woman from Texas complements of my friend Wintersteel (http://www.wintersteel.com) that just might keep you up at night!

As I first started to write down this bizarre happening my computer mysteriously turns off (and) never has done this before. Last year, my children and I went to place flowers on my mother-in-law's grave. We were there for ten minutes (and) we were about to leave. There was an oak tree near where she is laid.

(I saw) a woman (with) pale skin and discolored ragged looking hair… was wearing a beige sweater and looked like a light blue blouse and skirt. She had a tree limb that was shaped like a pitchfork - three branches that hung down. At first I didn't realize she was a spirit. We were wondering where she came from. There was only a man on the opposite side of the cemetery and she wasn't there before.

She slowly walked behind the tree and started to go toward my mother-in-law's grave. She stared at me and my children, and smiled. My teenage daughter had stayed in the car with my two-year-old son, as he was asleep. My two other daughter's, ages 6 and 8 were with me. She kept on walking and turning, and smiled. She did this five different times. She came by my car (and) placed her hand on my hood. At the time, I walked up towards my car thinking what was she doing. (Then) she started walking again.

The man that was across the other side of the cemetery was about to leave and he saw her too. She started to walk up the cemetery road, turned again and disappeared. My daughters asked me, “Mom did you see that she is gone? Where did she go?”

I was scared. As well, the man looked at me and asked me if I saw this as well. Nodding my head, I just wanted to get out of there. So did this man. I had to go back around to get out of the cemetery and then we saw her again. My oldest daughter witnessed this too and said, “Look mom. There she is again.”

We all saw her again. This time, she was at a grave marker (and) had her hands crossed, and then disappeared again. We were all pretty shaken up for we never saw anything like it before. Needless to say, I will not go out to the cemetery by myself any more.

After we got home, I told my husband and it definitely scared him as well. Later on in the week, we noticed strange sighing noises coming out of my back seat, a feeling of dread and the back of your neck hair stood up (giving a) shivering feeling.

It was late at night and I was with a relative taking her and her two-year-old daughter home. Her daughter refused to get in the back seat. There was the sighing noise again. My husband had heard it as well as our relative. We had not spoken about the woman to her. Going home, the noise seemed to get louder. She asked me to drop her off a few houses before hers, (because) had a bad feeling and wanted to get out. I just wanted to get home.

I was half way home as I didn't live to far (and) there was the noise again, and a bad odor. My seat started to shake. I started to go faster, got down my street and the seat was shaking as if someone had their hands on it. I flew in my driveway! I almost fell out my car trying to get out I was so terrified. My husband was waiting for me on the back porch and saw how frighten I was. He was coming towards me when he told me to run in the house. Looking back, we both saw a black mist or cloud coming out of the car!

Never had we witnessed something this terrifying. I didn't want to go back in my car
again the next day. I called on our priest to pray over my car. Explaining the situation to him, he believed the spirit of the woman in the cemetery went home with us. So far, nothing has happened again. Thank God!

Great News For Canadian Authors

Recently, I met a man by the name of Dr. Armin Kammel, who lives in Austria. He was in Hamilton, Ontario to take care of some business, as well as visit with some family members who live here. Dr. Armin said he was an author and would like to meet a local author during his visit.

As it turns out, aside from being an author, he is also a banker, international financier and most importantly, secretary general of the Austrian-Canadian Society based in Vienna. In his latter role, his job is to improve relations between the two countries by promoting Canadians in Austria and vice versa. Mr. Kammel asked if I’d like my books featured on the Australian website and of course, I was delighted to say yes!

The good news for other Canadian authors is that I decided to return the favor by sending him information on other authors in this country. If you are a published author with your books on Amazon.com, please contact me and I will forward your info to him.
