Ever wonder what foster parents really feel about parenting? Maybe I'm living in the wrong spot I keep reading in the paper about the wonderful foster families and the happy foster children living in their homes yet around me the story is not quite like that.
One foster Mom near me was offerred the chance to take the child she was caring for permanently...her answer was no she didn't want this responsibility.
Doesn't it make you wonder? How can a system willingly place a child into a home knowing the people do not want this responsibility for any length of time?
Even the local dog pound requires more responsibility. For that matter the pound charges people for taking these animals yet the system pays people to take foster children. Animals versus children is not a good comparison but doesn't it make you wonder about society and how it works?
