EDITORIAL: Hello and welcome back, everyone. Thanks to all of you who read O Glorious Sky and left your inspiring comments. I really appreciate the time you take to do this. The latest poem I’ve added to my den is called Death’s Door. It was written on a postit notepad a couple months ago and I finally decided to submit it. I have these notepads all over our home and it’s often what I use when I’m inspired to write poems or ideas for stories and articles. It’s a good habit for you to get into too because you’re more apt to forget them if you don’t do it immediately. In this week’s issue I’m not only offering paying market sites but also write sites that can be of value to you in other ways. Of course I’ve also found some interesting sites in the Potpourri section and I hope you take the time to check them out too. Happy reading and writing everyone!
Peace! http://www.publisher-guidelines.com/ publisher-guidelines.com wish to extend an opportunity to new and emerging authors committed to seeing their work in print. We invite you to use our expertise to make sense of the publishing business and help you towards publishing your own manuscript. We accept all categories, non-genre, as well as genre such as: fiction, non-fiction, biography, poetry, short story, etc. Publishing is a competitive and difficult business. More people are writing and there is less room among the big publishers for consideration of newcomers. Opportunities for good writers and many good books are lost because of this. So what can replace the big publisher's power and influence in selection of writers and success on the book shop shelf? Our team will give your work all the concentrated attention it requires to produce a quality product. Once we accept your manuscript and you accept us as your publisher, our team includes you. Every stage needs your co-operation, energy and commitment for you to gain the most benefit and give yourself a fighting chance that your book will sell.
http://www.kaeden.com/writers.asp We are looking for stories with humor, surprise endings and interesting characters that will appeal to pre-readers through third grade. Our beginning books are 8-24 pages in length, generally with 1-4 sentences on each page( word counts from 24 to 300.) We are also looking for longer stories written with high interest/lower vocabulary for older students. Remember, our readers are early, emergent and fluent readers in pre-kindergarten through second grade, so vocabulary and sentence structure must be appropriate for the beginning reading levels. Kaeden Books are used in many reading programs such as Reading Recovery (R), English as a Second Language (ESL) and many Title I programs. Familiarity with these programs and methodologies will help you understand what we need from our authors.
http://www.lifewriters.com/ As authors of two best-selling books, Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul and Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul, we have heard from thousands of readers who tell us how our stories have impacted their lives. The non-fiction, short stories shared by the contributing authors in our books have brought hope and inspiration to readers who may be dealing with the same types of issues and situations. One story that can reach out from the pages of a book and touch the reader at heart level can not only change their life, but also the lives of those around them. This is the mission of our books! Would you like the chance to be published? Are you interested in sharing your TRUE story?

http://wz.com/arts/WritingYourLifeStory.html Welcome to the Realm for writing your life story. The written life story has many names -- autobiography, memoirs, personal narrative, or essay. No matter what you call it, writing your story has many benefits. Maybe that is why the process of story writing is exploding in popularity. When you write about your life, you create a legacy that lives on beyond your death and introduces you to generation after generation. You may make new sense of, or gain fresh awareness about, your past; remember the saying, "Those who do not understand the past are doomed to repeat it." Maybe you just enjoy reminiscing or have fun writing. And the published memoir is a genre readers are buying these days, so perhaps yours could be the next Roots or Angela's Ashes, making you millions.
