Her articles, reviews, poems and short stories are continuously published in many newspapers, magazines and anthologies around Argentina, UK, India, US, and other countries. Since 1980, she works as a psychotherapist specialized in Forensic Psycho diagnosis, listed by the American Biographical Institute (ABI) in their international directory "Experts & Expertise". (US)
She was born in Buenos Aires City, Argentina, where she lives joined to her family. In 1998, she won First Prize in the poetry contest by the Academic Circle of Argentinean Writers. After she had been finalist in many contests of poetry by different literary institutions. She has written and published four books:
The poetry collections, "Dos Talles Menos de Cerebro" (1999) and "Mundo Postmoderno" (2000), both books fully illustrated by the author herself. A novel "La Voz del Ángel" (2002) and the essay, "Estar de Novios Hoy", (2003), this one written jointly with her husband, Ernesto Castellano.
In 2000 she started to write bilingually, with a unique intention: to spread her peace ideals, worldwide. In 2001, she founded the nonprofit organization "Bilingual MCA" to promote bilingual literature for peace, and since then, she edits a philanthropic E-zine dedicated to the publication and promotion of exquisite peace poems by many bilingual poets, worldwide. She has organized several poetry readings by members of this institution, who came to visit her country to recite their poems. Since 2002, she is Editorial Advisor for "The Taj Mahal Review", a bimonthly literary journal devoted to arts, literature, poetry and culture, published by Cyberwit.net. India. During 2003 and 2004, she worked as a Bilingual Reviewer to Editorial El Ateneo and Director of Institutional Relations to the Argentine Center for Development of Writers. In 2004 she was selected as Director in Argentina for the International Forum for a Literature and a Culture of Peace (IFLAC). She directed several poetry contests in 2004 and 2005.
In 2005, she has been nominated as an honorary member of the Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies Global Core Team, Columbia University, New York, US. In 2005 also, she was nominated as Universal Peace Ambassador in the framework of the Universal Ambassadors Peace Circle, Switzerland. During the last years she has worked for UNESCO as peace researcher writer and at the same time, her literary work has been extensively published worldwide.
The Once Orange Badge Poetry Supplement, UK, published her poem "Family Abuse". Since 2004, her articles and poems about Peace can be read at the EOLSS Encyclopedia, edited jointly by UNESCO-EOLSS Joint Committee, UK.

Literature and Peace

We can define Peace as one of the most important values because it leads human society towards the protection of life. Peace allows life to grow, culture to be developed and systematic education and non-systematic education to be forwarded and transmitted.
Peace is a value because it is an achievement, a precious treasure for individuals, families and social groups. Peace is a human right; because any person has the right to live in peace and to see children grow in a nonviolent environment.
Peace is a duty because all of us have the moral responsibility to maintain its spirit and to promote it, wherever we go. Peace is like a crystal jar, manufactured by a million hands through history. When its equilibrium becomes unstable and it breaks down, its fragments are spread and they stab into a million hearts. From there, a new chain of cooperative work, with the unique help of education, reaches a new stability enforcing its strength increasingly each time peace is re established.
The experience of war and its consequences influence humanity but they seem unable to
understand the necessity of an ending to social violence.
Peace Education through Literature is not only a possibility to be studied and researched by experts worldwide, but a moral duty of any educator who has became aware of the significance of these matters for the future of the Global Village.


FASHIONABLE WORLD

Today the world is fashionable.
A fashionable world.
(The modern hell).
Girls are starving, pushing up
themselves to death.
(With their extremely narrow legs).

Human brains are becoming smaller
(two sizes smaller).
They are going faster than
their own rollers.

There are some children working
just like slaves...nobody cares.
Virtue? Quietly has gone.
Love? Is a virtual love.
Society? Lost in lonely dirty thoughts.

Anybody looks for Prudence
through these outrageous days.
A monkey is looking to its face
into a mirror...
Its face is turning red in shame.

Please, world... just stop and think!
Correct the rout and work for peace...
















PEACEFUL AGONY

Suddenly, in a rapt of pain

Sweet anguish initiates a journey.
Petals falling in a “loves me, does not love me” dance.

Far away, a shore. Endearing sea beyond the edge of psyche...
Is there any signal of approval?
Oh! Woods in obscurity waiting for sunlight!
Oh! Towering flames of shame!

(Quietness is a sheltered place to see love grow).
On the other side, ambiguity is unexpectedly fulfilling!
Human soul is solitude in agony
Until someone else arrives to share pain and glory.

Symbols, signals, gestures. Melted ivory, frozen velvet.
There is no more delightful sensation than a full
Reconciliation.

TWO WOLVES

Two wolves under moonlight.

Both are in the shadowy night.

They yell. Their yellow eyes smash the darkness.
One against the other, only one will survive.

Breathing loudly, fiercely, they start to run.

Their madness determinate the attack.

A painful attack. A panic attack.

Powder is visible, both are invisible.


Their desire for power determinate their lunacy.

Two beasts and the same mad plan

Thirsty for supremacy, both have a similar ferocity.

A narrow hollow instead of a heart.
Blood and death is the result.

Why does the other’s suffering seem to be so far away?
Why does our own pain sound so aloud?
Why does the noise seem to shut up hungry mouths
Of children who are beyond disgrace and without love?


Possibly chimpanzees know the answer to all my doubts.
Although its possible they will never face these horrors
As we do every day, worldwide:

With faith...without faith...
With face...without face...
With the heart, heartless
With fire in our eagerness.

From the trees to the branches,

Phoenix New Life Poetry is the voice of Phoenix Poets, an international co-operative friendship network of artists and writers worldwide, rather than a commercial literary journal and is open to all contributors.

OUR VISION
“Culture” is, anthropologically and strictly speaking, a definition of the whole of the Way of Life of a Society, not only of a marginalized or sanitised and unchallenging corner called “The Arts”. Since my childhood, in the 1950’s, the “community integrity” of especially Western society, of the “extended family” and the creative, self-reliant village/neighbourhood has progressively disintegrated with our many competing and isolated egoisms. “The New Renaissance” is about much more than a literary-artistic movement but for the overall healing and reconstruction of our societies and their planetary environment.
Almost all the elements of this much needed socio-economic and cultural re-creation have emerged in the spiritual, new age, natural health, community-creation and green movements since the 1960’s & 70’s: however, poetry and the related Arts (such as Music), liberated by surrealism and rock-n’-roll, from traditional conventions in the 1950’s & 60’s, since those decades of early promise, appear to have been either neglected, ghettoised or to have become ‘stuck’ in the ‘ranting’ or cynical ‘negativity’ of knowing what one detests, but not knowing what one, more positively, values & aspires to.
In our magazine we will not react to this by seeking to ‘escape into a romantic faerie tale’, but will seek to strike a wholesome balance between ‘angry protest’ and the beauty-&-beatitude of our divine creation that many lose sight of amidst crises, poverty & suffering! Now, however, in this dawn of the promise of the New Millenium is re-emerging the inspiration for the New Renaissance movement in poetry, music and literature as currently manifest in The Partners Writing Group (based in Middlesex, England), together with our own, as above, with initial input from Shelley’s Hellas and Blake’s Albion. We, here, reach out, to the rest of the World, for your participation.
Visionary prose writings can be included, at our discretion, as extracts, in our “Reviews” section and we will, also, be able to use visionary paintings etcetera, as visual contributions to our pages via the Computer-scanner, with poetry as our priority. Thus, we welcome poems on such themes as:
Peace, Freedom, Social-&-Political Justice, Social Comment, Spiritual, Psychic & Religious Experiences, Communing With The Creator & Creation, Healing Prayers & Invocations, ‘New romantic’ Interpretations of Classical Myths & Legends (e.g. those of ‘Orpheus’ or the ‘Holy Grail’) or whatever be your own dream!
All styles are welcome. There are no set limits on the length of each poem. What matters is their motivating spirit!
Poets are invited to send in, with their work, a concise profile of themselves, their concerns or their autobiographies and, if they so wish, we can add their addresses to their work, as printed, should they seek to be contacted by sympathetic souls!
We are especially interested in News and Information about Community Projects that involve Education-for-Harmonious Living or shared Artistic Creativity. We, also, welcome free-exchanges of journals or of mutual publicity, by arrangement, with other ‘cultural periodicals’ such as feel that they share the essential spirit of our initiative. Choice poems in other languages (French or Greek) can be translated if we feel that they are of merit, otherwise poets in other languages (e.g. Russian) will, themselves, have to make their own translations of their work into English to their own satisfaction.

SUMMER 2006 EDITORIAL (Edition No.21)
Welcome to our Summer 2006 Issue. First of all my apologies to those not here included as we have far more material than needed for this issue and so will be carrying some forward to the next Autumn issue. This season is the time for more personally coming together in festive events rather than more remote forms of communication, hence our delay in its production and, also, our constant emphasis that our cultural mission would be all more complete if individual poets as well as getting their work into a magazine, got together with others for live events wherever they live or travel. A journal, however worthy, is no real substitute for a truly living culture amongst the people as we need to feed off each other’s energies in more direct forms of sharing our mutual inspiration.
As a cooperative of creative individuals, we need, also, to outreach to find greater appreciative audiences beyond us, as our Phoenix is a “cultural tool” rather than just another “Mutual Appreciation Society, as can be the case in some literary circles, often by default, because they are isolated from the rest of the Community, as marginalized by the popular focus on the Mass-Media. So please pass our Phoenix on to all others who might appreciate it as well as enjoying it, individually, yourselves, either by email or photocopies, on the principle of “The Network Tree” of Information we operate in all other aspects of our initiative here (such as our Vision Quester News Agency and the Universal Alliance in general.
Creativity is about both one’s personal spiritual path of self-discovery & collective socio-cultural transformation, a catalyst for the so many changes needed to make our World a better place. There used to be a “more tribal time” when each bard was an integral and essential part of his or her community, a voice for the people, as in the seasonal gatherings in the Thegn Halls and Sacred Places of my own Norslandic, Germanic & Celtic ancestors even as the roots of our literary traditions come down to us from the Saxon Sagas of Beowulf, The Hellenic Epic of The Illiad and the Welsh Tales of the Mabinogion. Without these there would have been no Chaucer’s, Shakespeares or other more individualistic writers. Their styles often remain but bereft of a fuller social context and we dream of the day, our New Renaissance when the generality of the population again see Art and Poetry as an essential & integral part of our daily lives. A thought can become too abstract without the concomitant context of action for creating a better world – to quote William Blake: “Thought without action breeds pestilence” and Percy Bysshe Shelley: “Poets are the unseen legislators of human kind”.
We take our inspiration for what we express from the world around us, be that from Nature or a city-street, so I feel we must give something back to that world so as to further enrich it for contemporary and as yet unborn generations. Interaction always needs to be two ways, and not just any “one person of status” addressing passive audiences for “their entertainment”, which is the corruption of Culture by the “media-style” “Cult of Celebrity”.
Our stimulating experiences are the Karma where we learn our lessons and our own Creative responses are the Dharma, or enlightenment that can free us from the chains we inherit from this Karma.
Many poets have retained this close interaction with our Mother Nature, but have, on the whole lost it in relation to human societies that are often now so alienated from the rest of Nature. This loss of interaction with the human environment need not always be the case. My own poems on Page 3 of this issue were born out of my personal interaction with the ‘Wastelands’ of Industrial Lancashire and Manchester, as much as I feel much more in harmony in our current rural context, here in Cornwall. In this context, I not only refer to such areas as ‘wastelands’ in the strictly environmental sense, like the industrial outskirts of South Yorkshire where I was born, as, also in a “spiritual sense” as expressed in that well-known poem the “Wasteland” by T.S.Elliot
To me, one of the vital socio-cultural functions of poetry is its value as a key element in both sacred & secular Communal gatherings and rituals, celebrating either the Natural Seasons or other events of social significance. Most of religious liturgy (hymns and prayers etc) is a form of theatre composited of poetry in various forms and theatre, itself, in ancient Greece evolved out of ritual incantations about the tales of the Gods & mortals transformed into an dramatic interaction of several voices & usually two choruses which often represented confronting forces in these sagas. This group sing-song method of passing down the communities lore from generation to generation, from older to younger was a vital necessity in times when so many ordinary people did not read or write.
It can still be found in the festive gatherings of traditional Asian families both in the Indian Sub-continent and Western Europe. This Western “writer in isolation” for a “reader in isolation” paradigm is a deviation from the general more communal rule of extremely recent origin in Westernised Societies & coincides with a disintegration of the extended family and our broader sense of Community in general!
Our cultural-‘religious events & manifestations ought to reflect & celebrate the quality of our daily lives rather than be (much needed) escapes from & contrasts to them, a separation that goes back, in Western-style societies, to the modern urbanized technological “revolution”, that has alienated most of us from natural living’s cycles, a thought for us all to ponder! I welcome your comments on these issues.
Our, often solitary, thoughts could become the quiet conscience of the great masses of humanity.

I dream of a world without roars
from the deadly killing machine
I dream of lands far from the shadows
where rain is made of heartfelt ink

I wish to draw smiles on all faces
using rainy drops which are multicolored
to form a garden with all the races
where differences are never noticed

I think on so many babies
who have never learn to smile
Their happiness is frozen
because of hunger illness and war

Today the world is arriving to the abysses of times.
Its emptiness is made of the lack of values and virtues. In its face, a horrible hollow is the mask of selfishness, of idolatry of money and frenetic consumerism. Man is adoring himself as God. His obscene ignorance conducts him to be obsessed from hatred to vile pornography. His basic error has sent him to an apocalyptical ending from where he will not be safe without the help of those who still believe in the existence of transcendental meanings like Goodness, Beauty, Justice, Solidarity, Sense of Life and True.
The enormous effort of those who still believe in the power of words as generators of ideas about positive social changes, has given this first fruit: Peace Education through Literature, which understanding and researches are inspired, encouraged and developed by the authorities of IFLAC, the International Forum for a Literature and a Culture of Peace, the living proof of the new literary movement towards Peace among the different nationalities and races. Also another organisations all over the world are starting to cooperate one with the other for the first time ever.

This wonderfully inspired effort is the result of the best intention: To join hands for the future of Humanity, to avoid discrimination and over any difference of cultural customs or even faith, make it real The new World Writers in all languages are trying to be a remarkable paradigm for the global community.
The process of peace is being initiated in these conversations, in this interactivity where nothing is so important as the building of respect. A similar love to all in the world, a similar love to literature, an equal passion in the sacrifice. And the results are born in this nest where the child is Peace. Literature is Beauty in words and Peace Literature is an ode to Beauty because incarnates it in a new reality: Completed with a full content of deep values, and not an empty bottle, without fragrance.
Man must awake and start the travel towards the centre of the soul, where the key factor of Happiness resides: Love in Earth, Authentic Justice, Universal Understanding and Global Peace.
