Mundo Hueco

He venido mi Dios a agradecerte

A WINDOW TO HEAVEN
A BOOK by María Cristina Azcona

http://www.cyberwit.net/maria.htm

EXCERPT
Literature and Peace

We can define Peace as one of the most important values because it leads human society towards the protection of life. Peace allows life to grow, culture to be developed and systematic education and non-systematic education to be forwarded and transmitted.
Peace is a value because it is an achievement, a precious treasure for individuals, families and social groups. Peace is a human right; because any person has the right to live in peace and to see children grow in a nonviolent environment.
Peace is a duty because all of us have the moral responsibility to maintain its spirit and to promote it, wherever we go. Peace is like a crystal jar, manufactured by a million hands through history. When its equilibrium becomes unstable and it breaks down, its fragments are spread and they stab into a million hearts. From there, a new chain of cooperative work, with the unique help of education, reaches a new stability enforcing its strength increasingly each time peace is re established.
The experience of war and its consequences influence humanity but they seem unable to
understand the necessity of an ending to social violence.
Peace Education through Literature is not only a possibility to be studied and researched by experts worldwide, but a moral duty of any educator who has became aware of the significance of these matters for the future of the Global Village.

PEACEFUL AGONY

MARIA CRISTINA AZCONA
Suddenly, in a rapt of pain

Sweet anguish initiates a journey.
Petals falling in a “loves me, does not love me” dance.
Far away, a shore. Endearing sea beyond the edge of psyche...
Is there any signal of approval?
Oh! Woods in obscurity waiting for sunlight!
Oh! Towering flames of shame!

(Quietness is a sheltered place to see love grow).
On the other side, ambiguity is unexpectedly fulfilling!
Human soul is solitude in agony
Until someone else arrives to share pain and glory.

Symbols, signals, gestures. Melted ivory, frozen velvet.
There is no more delightful sensation than a full
Reconciliation.

What a peaceful day without even a fight...

The day after ceasefire

TWIN TOWERS

MARIA CRISTINA AZCONA
Two twins are standing there since forever.
Their beauty, a gift of the Lord.
We know that everyone
Has loved them since they were born.
America, this is your chance for glory,
Nobody can deny.
You are the country of opportunities
And justice!
But hatred with its lattice
Threw them to the floor
They are missing this very moment
But not from our heart.
Humanity has not died yet,
Because the victims
Still breathe through our lungs.

Brothers in humanhood
Humans in brotherhood…
Sisters in sisterhood.
A neighborhood of countries
To share sand and bay

America, don’t cry today.
We all together will take care
Of your wounds.

TERRORISM AND WAR

MARIA CRISTINA AZCONA

Why are the hills still so far away
While the hearts are still on fire?

Why is war so unbearably mad
While the babies are still dying?

Why are the terrorists yet ahead
While the babies are still crying?

Don’t you see the solution to this
Excruciating world on crisis?

Can’t you see the situation to be
Unexpectedly bad and expectedly mad?

Must we think on the future today
Or we need to receive more lies?

Must we live in a horrible rage
To be aware of rough reality?

Don’t we see the beginning of End?
Is so near that…
We are able to sniff the remains?

Let us hope for a change of mind
Or let us wait for a miracle:
The end of the spectacle
Just now.
