On behalf of C. A. Webb, Inc.'s board of directors, thanks you for making 2004 a year that we will not soon forget. With 26 days left in the year, we are going to give you what we have always strived to share: our best
Showtime at Jackson and Shadow Play Entertainment welcome you to the 1st Annual MS Winter Festival for the Arts!
Place: MS Arts Center (201 E. Pascagoula)
When: Friday, December 10, 2004
4:30-6:00p.m., Open Forum
This will be an opportunity for all those interested in the music industry to ask questions and interact with those who are living the arts daily. Cleveland Barnes (Showtime at Jackson), Kehinde Gaynor (music producer and graphic designer), a representative for Malaco Records and Mr. “Sho Nuff” KAMIKAZE will be discussing self-promotion, the ins and outs of contracts, royalties, financial empowerment, distribution, how to be a part of musical compilations and television production.
And then at 7:00p.m….
No need to dress up, but come see the host of entertainers that will be assembled from all genres to give Jackson, MS a show to end all shows in 2004! The evening begins with open mic poetry and featured poet Donovan Scott. Then settle in to enjoy R&B performers Salima, Duane Scott and Sho’, blues musician
Scott Albert Johnson, and hiphop heavyweights Lil’ Bone, Next of Kindredz (N.O.K.)and the
Jack-Town Ballers, headlined by KAMIKAZE! After the concert, get ready to dance the night away until midnight!
During the entire evening, free food and drinks will be available as well as many opportunities to network and meet new people. Venders will be on hand with merchandise from area businesses (including illustrator Chuck Galey and the owners of The Cookie Net), and Shadow Play Entertainment will have its unique products available including their new line of greeting cards!
Doors open at 4p.m. Admission to the forum or concert is $10.00 or purchase an all-day pass for only $15.00!
All ages are welcome, so come enjoy this evening of the Arts with something for the entire family!

Smith Robertson Museum
There will be concession-style food for sale, games and prizes for the kids, art work on display by Webb, sketching by Wez Harglo and other local artists. Performances will take place from Elijah and Ellison Brown, inspirational singer Martha Simpson as well as local talent right from Mississippi.
Webb concludes the day with the main program: EMANCIPATION: Free to Be. There will be open mic for all, performances from guest poets Kira and Donovan Scott, R&B singers Duane Scott and Sho, blues musician Scott Albert Johnson, Jackson’s Finest Next of Kindredz and more!
Admission to the day’s event is FREE, however, 10% of all proceeds raised by Shadow Play Entertainment will benefit Building Bridges Inc. and Southern AIDS Commission Food Pantry.

This will be a night of positive and enlightening open mic for poets, singers and musicians alike.

There will be door prizes, a drawing for a free weekend in a Jacuzzi suite compliments of C. A. Webb and Best Western Executive Inn and two drawings for $50.00 CASH to be given away that night!! Food and drinks will be available. Artists will have merchandise available for purchasing. This is a night where Hiphop, reggae, and other musical genres will be celebrated. The guest D.J. will be Mr. C-Lecta of WMPR 90. 1 FM. Admission to this event is $7.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door.
