Newsletter Dated: 12/5/2004 8:22:36 AMSubject: *** BREAKING NEWS: C. A. Webb Bows Out! ***
The rumor is true (at least this one is): C. A. Webb will be taking a three-month hiatus from both the radio and television versions of "Conversations with C. A. Webb" beginning January 1, 2005.
Though Webb wanted to confirm this first with those subscribed to his newsletter, the following statement will be read at the close of the radio version of "Conversations with C. A. Webb" on Tuesday, December 7, 2004:
"When I began the radio version of "Conversations with C. A. Webb" in August 2003, my goal was to give artists of all types an outlet to talk about their work as well as give a louder voice to issues that affect the community. Since that time, I have interviewed over 200 guests on WMPR 90.1 FM and over 60 guests on 16 WAPT. In my mind, the show has served its purpose.
"With the success of both shows, I feel as though I have done exactly what I was supposed to. But with such an accomplishment comes the reality that if not careful, I could get settled in to a comfort zone that will hinder my growth. So this is my announcement to my listeners and viewers that "Conversations with C. A. Webb" is taking a three-month break from the radio and television waves, returning in full force in April 2005 to help others welcome in National Poetry Month.
"Thank you to everyone who has called in to the show, emailed me with comments or stopped me in the streets to tell me how much you appreciate the program. It is my hope that when I return in April 2005 that you will welcome me back into your home, and most importantly into your life.
