Shadow Play Entertainment and C. A. Webb will host their first Black History program ever on Saturday, February 19, 2005 beginning at 7:30p.m. until 10:30p.m. at the MS Arts Center, Downtown Jackson: I KNOW NOW.
This will be a positive event designed to show how all races contribute to history everyday, including live music ranging from blues musician Scott Albert Johnson, the Kuumba African Dance and Drum Co., inspirational singer Martha Simpson and R&B singers Duane Scott and Sho'. Guest poet will be Poetry July performing MEDGAR EVERS WHISPERS.
The feature for the evening,however, is D. C. White the Buffalo Soldier. (Visit www.historyrecords.homestead.com)
C. A. Webb will also have art work on display and share poetry from his upcoming project, THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.
Doors open at 6:30p.m. and local venders will be on hand during the evening with their information and merchandise (Limited booth space is still available for $45 per table, electricity available.)
There will be hot food and refreshments served. The night will conclude with a drawing open to anyone present for $100.00 cash to be given away, compliments of Shadow Play Entertainment. Admission cost is $7.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door.
