Newsletter Dated: 12/9/2005 11:02:00 PMSubject: National Spoken Word artist Floyd Boykin Jr. Headlines "Emancipation" 2006!
While I have been away, I was able to confirm some very important details about my events for National Poetry Month 2006. The theme for the event that will be hosted by Shadow Play Entertainment is "EMANCIPATION: Free to Flow 2006". The premise of the weekend will be to spotlight a variety of artists and show how the gift of spoken word can be given to anyone.
Our headliner for the weekend is National Spoken Word artist Floyd Boykin Jr. (www.floydboykinjr.com) out of St. Louis, MO. He answered the call to be a part of our event without hesitation, and I know that his presence and positive energy is definitely going to keep the entire more just where it needs to be.
Is is early to be making such plans. It is almost too late. Four months is definitely not a lot of time to prepare, tweak and promote the way you know you need to do. That is why I am so excited about what we have thus far.
Keep visiting the EVENTS tab on this site. Also, you can't finish out 2005 without voting in the Best of Jackson 06 contest. You know what I want: Radio Personality of the Year and (WRITE IN CATEGORY) Spoken Word Artist of the Year.
