CORRECTION – March 31, 2012
The last paragraph of my op - ed column, JUSTICE!, refers to Spike Jones, rather than Spike Lee. I should not have dated myself so blatantly. Jones, of course, was the bandleader (Spike Jones and his City Slickers) during the ‘40s and ‘50s who satirized such pop hits as COCKTAILS FOR TWO, GHOST RIDERS, LAURA, I’M MY OWN GRANDPA, etc. He died of emphysema at 53. Spike Lee is a contempory movie producer. I apologize for confusing the two; it was my misfortune, hardly my intention.
