Hi there readers and fellow authors. I am Willie Tee and I send out newsletters from time to time to keep you informed of the progress I am making in the promotion of my book, The Winds of Destiny, 2nd Edition. I will mention in my newsletter book festivals, speaking engagements and book signings that I attended or will attend in the future. I also inform readers of other fellow authors that I have met and the titles of their books. Importantly, I want to encourage others to become authors, a dream come true, and to provide them guidance on how to become skillful authors. Newsletter Dated: 2/20/2005 12:27:16 PMSubject: By Word of Mouth "By word of mouth" is the greatest promoter of books and other written media. I appear at many book signings at bookstores, festivals and other locations for this reason. I have noted that books I have written are now in the hands of Americans in all 50 states and have been read by Canadians and people from European countries. I know this because I have autographed books personally for Canadians and Europeans as well as us Americans. The workshops (Domestic Violence & Spiritual Warfare) that were held on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Short Pump Community center were very fruitful. It was a cold winter morning when the workshops began at 9:30 a.m. I spoke and interacted with the attendees for about two hours and discussed the aspects of my book in regards to domestic and community violence, greed, the love of money, arrogance, abuse and neglect.
The workshop about Spiritual Warfare was very educational. Spiritual Warfare concerns controversy on the job and at home. A source of controversy concerns people who deviate or stray away from their Christian principles. Some people use devious means at home and at work to achieve their goals. Their quest for achievement is often at the expense of their family members or fellow coworkers. I have met individuals during my lifetime at work that spoke in a comprehensive way but the comments coming from their mouths were not in touch. Every sentence they spoke seemed rehearsed and purposeful. A coworker told me on occasions after pointing at a bible that God had taken care all of his or her enemies because of his or her strong Christian affiliation. This was a contradiction, because our citizenship as Americans guarantees us vowed enemies. That is why if you are on a plane hijacked by terrorists, you should deny that you are an American. You can claim that option afterwards. People with true intentions speak from their heart and the words flow in a heartfelt way. These are not staged performances.
I have been the subject of spiritual warfare myself at work during the past and present. I am a subject of curiosity because of my written achievements. I have achieved goals by adhering to certain strong Christian principles and seeking God’s guidance. Some people wrongfully assume that others are doing something wrong or illegal if they are able to accomplish noteworthy goals. People have asked, “Where do you get time Willie to write books? This is my answer to the curious, “When the Father lays his hands upon me, my fingers are like lightning upon the keyboard of my home computer. I can type nonstop for hours. I am lost in time, because it is not relevant to my appointed tasks.”
People often ask, “Well how many people came to your workshop? The answer is, “Those people came who desired to be there. Lifeline Ministries, others and I are going to create a flock that will go out and encourage others to refrain from violence. A flock always begins as a small number and then it increases substantially over time.”
I was at Atlanta, Georgia about two years ago and there were a half million people there at the Auburn Street Festival. I drove over six hundred miles to autograph one book at a huge event. But I am going back to Georgia and one day soon. I am going there as a messenger, because some people failed to see me as a man with a message during the first trip. They will have the opportunity to read the message that I carry on the second trip. If they read the message that I bring, then they will know that things need to change. Now is better than never, because a huge storm is brewing and people got to be prepared for when it hits. Hopefully the street vendor, who sold hotdogs, is at Atlanta on my next trip, because he sold only a few hotdog and I bought one of the few. Atlanta and Memphis were strange in this way, cities of fame, but you would have to choke people to make them spend a dollar. I am reminded of Sodom and Gomorrah, because the angels were looking for just a few righteous people and didn’t find them. I was just looking for a few readers like the authors with me, but we did not find them either. But when darkness falls in Atlanta and Memphis the cities are grid locked with people who frequent the clubs. Special tactical police are deployed at night and place a cordon around the club areas with flashing blue lights and patrol dogs. There is a strong police presence at night. When I was in the US Army Military Police Corps, we called such cities with clubs, “Combat Alley”.
Towards the end of this year, I will release the third book of my trilogy “The Winds of Destiny, The Survivors of the Secret”. I thank Mel Gibson for producing “The Passion of the Christ”, because this movie encouraged me to take off the kid gloves and open the doors of my family saga wide open. There is an adage that cockroaches scurry when the pantry door is opened because they are blinded by the light. Some people might have to run, but I am going to stand as solid as a rock. I did not want to go there, but decided that I want people to “feel” the full ramifications of what greed, stinginess, the love of money and arrogance bring. The writing of my third novel is going to baptize me by fire, but will invigorate readers to consider other alternatives than those that the incorrigible used in these novels.
I wish you peace, love, happiness, and many blessings.
