Boston based Cosmic Spelunker Theater returns to AS220 with a sometimes comic, sometimes tragic, and sometimes surreal meditation on war, incorporating, mime, poetry, masks, storytelling, and song. A carrion bird picks pockets and launches cruise missiles and robot fish while a DJ mixes a new Star Spangled Banner and snails sing of a time when “peace breaks out.” Inspired by the commedia dell’arte, current events, and the artists’ own lives.
