Marcus Garvey inspired, Haile Selassie I blessed, Melaku has been created to provide a medium for education, inspiration and upliftment of InI Rastafari, as well as the wider black family.
Named after the personal doctor of His Imperial Majesty, Melaku Bayen, this publication seeks to present factual, artistic, ideological and inspirational words to all those who would afford the time to read it.
Coincidentally, Dr Bayen was responsible for starting the Voice of Ethiopia newspaper during the time of Italy’s fascist invasion (1935-1941), his aim being to protect and fight unendingly for his country’s independence – what dignity… how fitting."
