Some of you wrote to me, asking how to get your review posted on Amazon.com. Many of you had seen the "star rating system" on the lefthand side of the page, but were confused as to why you couldn't post a review using this method. This will only peak the ratings, but will not guide you to a place to leave a review in your own words.
Here's the trick:
Go to your favorite book's page at Amazon.com, then scroll waaaaay down to almost the bottom of the page to a section called "Feedback". This is what you will find:
Feedback
__I have read this book, and I want to review it. __E-mail a friend about this book. __Write a "So You'd Like To..." guide. Clicking on "I have read this book and I want to review it" will take you to a page that will ask you to beome an Amazon.com member. This is a free service, and your identity is protected. (You can even enter a false e-mail address if you wish, but if you'd like to receive updates and special offers from Amazon, fill in your real e-mail address.) You don;t have to give your real name. In fact, you can simply say you are "a reader from Buckwheat, Arkansas" if you like.
You will then be prompted to write your review and assign the book a star rating 1 through 5, with 5 being the best.
If you are unsure what to write, go back and read some of the others. Many of them sound like personal testimonials. Others compare their fav book to other books they have enjoyed. And some just simply recommend it.
If you are so inclined, you can write a "So You'd ike To..." guide. My book is featured guides called "So you'd like to marry a widower..", "So you'd like to become a stepmother", and "So you'd like to move beyond bereavment and fall in love again".
To create a guide, you must first search for books that you would recommend, and tie them into a theme, such as "Books I like", "Books that have changed my life", or "Books that make me laugh", etc. You will need the book's AISN number (which is the same as the ISBN number listed on the book's Amazon page). Then you can copy/paste or simply enter these numbers, and that's it! You've created your own personal guide for other readers!
Thank you so much for helping make "PAST: Perfect! PRESENT: Tense!" available to searching GOWs and WOWs!!
Blessings...Julie
