I am about to change the name of my Newsletter to "Memoirs of a WW II Weatherman."

Why?

Because that's the name of my latest work in progress. I have almost finished it -- unless I decide to make another three month rewrite.

Keep droping by. It should be out in a month -- or a year -- or a century or two.

Please have patience. It's worth the price.

Subject: World War II

Have I given up writing my newsletter?

No way.

However, I have slowed down a little. That's because I am concentrating on my latest book: "The Saga of a WW II weatherman. My objective is to finish it some time this year. So far, I have completed chapter 37.

Chapter 37 covers parts of my trip to Guatemala City where the local pilots showed me the difference between what I saw on the weather maps and what was actually happening up in the air. The impact of lofty mountains surrounding the weather stations of Central America did a good job of nurishing storms that couldn't be seen from the valleys where the reporting station lay sheltered and protected from storms.

Life just isn't limited to what one sees on the ground or even the surface.

My next chapter will go into some of my shopping experiences in Panama City. That's where I was exposed to the beautiful Equadorian paintings by Oswaldo Moncayo.

Vaya con Dios.
