A romantic Poem I wrote for my girlfriend then, who is now my wife.

The Road I Wish to Travel

The Road I Wish to Travel,
is the one that will lead me to you.

Walking for days on the pavement and gravel,
non-stop, in all forms of weather too.

I keep listening for your sweet voice,
trying my best to hear you calling me.

I give myself absolutely no choice,
but to continue my journey that be.

Searching for your beautiful face,
day in and day out everywhere I go.

Eager to feel your emotional embrace,
to feel the heat of our passions’ glow.

To look deep into your pretty eyes,
and see what dwells inside them.

A woman in a world without lies,
worth more than the Hope-Diamond Gem.

The Road I Wish to Travel,
may lead me through a mountain’s path.

But God will not crush me with His gavel,
nor will He show me His wrath.

He knows that we are meant to be,
and wants me to seek you out.

Even if it means fighting the stormy sea,
calling your name in a frequent shout.

Very lovely tribute to your wife, Jason. You have a beautiful heart, as evidenced in your words. Nicely done.

I am happy to see that you fought against the stormy sea and won your bride. Such a lovely and romantic write, Jason. I'm sure your wife will cherish this and keep it close to her heart. Just beautiful! ~ Elizabeth :)
