Child of Mine

Body trembling, labor of pain through out the day,
all perceived in dismay.
Placed in my arms a living breathing, small, wrinkly, child of mine.
Beauty so bold,
Mother and Father have formed your mold.
Graced with our creation, bond by love,
sent down from Heaven above.
A miracle granted in our mist.
So lovely, unable to resist.
To look in your pale blue eyes.
And never perceive our final good byes.
Tears of happiness, our child is born,
For our hearts shall never be torn.
I have now just begun,
for we are no longer as 'one'.
Today, tomorrow, and many days to come I spend with you,
as our love for you grows true .
Each day passes with thoughts of all to bare,
for my love child, I will always care.
Nothing could invade my undying Love,
for Child of mine take flight as like a pure white dove.
Laughing, learning, touching the beginnings of life.
I promise, if able, will protect you from all the worlds strife.
Sadness and happiness are what lie's ahead.
But please remember these words I have said.
I love you more, then mere breaths taken each day,
I would conquer a beast of death, just to insure your earthly stay.
So when times seem tough, life is too rough.
Look to the pale blue sky,
for child of mine, wipe your tears, don't cry.
Lean on my shoulder, which is the wind,
for the rain on your cheek, is a kiss I send.
Enjoy all you see, in distant views,
remember always my love for you is true .

Dedicated to my children
Melissa, Stephanie, Sean, Nathan, Dylan, Aaron, Halee & Dakota. Love Mom
