Close my eyes, breathe in deep
Let the endorphins run through my veins
Let my heart rise from my stomach
And let my mind soothe its eyre contradictions
Troubles may come, but inevitably they will pass
Look how far we've come

I'm not looking back, the past is nothing but a shattered mirror
All I've ever wanted is something real, my dear
Never asked for a pace, I'd love to take it slow
Hand in hand, I want to make our feelings grow
Little by little, day by day

I try to read between the lines, but confusion only heightens
I don't mind being lost, but I just want a clue
Your eyes tell it all, you think you can hide
Push me away, maybe I'll run back
But silence takes us nowhere

Distance seems to keep you safe,
You've seemed to have built a wall surrounding
Your not the only one with
Concrete and bricks built high
But there seems to be a door
Don't take advantage
Don't let this slip through your fingertips

You hoped for a long chapter in my so called novel
I'll keep writing as long as you stick around
Take the path you like as we stand at this fork in the road
I don't want to hope, when there isn't a chance
So let me in or let me go, I'll keep breathing
