Written for some friends of ours who are for now separated by the war.

Here at home, Iím missing you
More and more each day
For duty calls you to a land
Half a world away

There is a certain loneliness
Felt deep within the heart
When two as close as you and I
Must be so far apart

A loneliness that canít be soothed
By kind things people say
This missing you is growing stronger
Each and every day

I know that you are lonely too
Itís home you want to be
I so look forward to the day
Youíre back here safe with me

Till then Iíll ask the Lord above
To keep you safe from harm
Until the day that we are back
Within each otherís arms
