Prime numbers have been tantalising since long and continue to do so for times to come. Uniquesness is special to primes. Remain unaffected. Appears first in prime importance.

Prime Time - Ode to 2009
I am one in alone
Desire to be all alone
Number grows with addition
No factors under multiplication
Addition makes me resentful
Factors pop up plentiful
I compromise for one more
Allow one only more as factor
Self and one only but still in plenty
To follow designated composite many
One apart two is the smallest and unique
None of all other and many even in race
Three five seven eleven and on and on odd
Changing and ever increasing paced
Go by names many and forms myriad at best
In race to find larger than known largest
Mersenne hath one less than two power format
Sum of the reciprocals lead to Erdős–Borwein constant
Fermat carried forward number growing fast
One more than two power two power format
Wagstaff takes a third of one more than two power a prime
Clever fastest deterministic algorithms ECPP rhyme
Incompleteness by Kurt Gödel
Erdös and Szekers numbers powerful
Patterns many of mine manifest
As 7 makes 2009 naïve 7^4-7^3-7^2 fit
Was there as 2003 last
Shall be soon as 2011 first
Number hath role in animate
Characterise and interpret
Men and Women inherit many in tiny
Knowingly or unknowingly uncanny
