The Ghost Of Kaiser Rock

Living in the country was wonderful for Little Henry. He loved riding his bycycle on the dirt roads, but he should never have ridden it in the dark.....

"Meaningless I guess"

"How Naive of Me"

How naive of me
To believe in fate
When at last I see
Life is more or less
A hideous game
Of beautiful lies
Tragicomedy
Too little too late

TV screens flicker
A grotesque burlesque
Reflecting blind eyes
Beyond love past hate
No one is to blame
Looking back it was
Meaningless I guess

Another fool tries
Another lost cause
Impossible odds
The rich write the laws
Yet the fool chooses
Hope which cannot be
Bets all and loses

Laughed at by false gods
Of insanity
As the hopeless jeer
And the dead snicker
Another fool dies
To get out of here
Another fool sighs:
"How naive of me"

I'm putting on my rose colored glasses right now so I can't see the emotionless, selfish 'pod people'.

Sometimes it is not naiveness but love that blinds us or keeps our eyes misty so we don't see the truth.
