I wish I were as I am now when I was younger
Instead of being driven by that hunger
Then for something seeming more important than
I was yesterday because lesser than today
Trying to be greater I could not appreciate
All the other somethings as a lesser man

Now somehow at this late hour getting up late
Better than never I learned how to see whatever
Taking it easy making love out of hate
I never could before but now at last I can
And getting it I got past forever in my way
No doubt anymore though about what to say:

What I mean where meaning is found there between
Black and white in rainbows made out of shades of grey

Much goes unseen in our youth. It is only later that we realize what we have missed. I can see that you are gleaning rainbows from what you thought was black and white.

"...but now at last I can" That's what each new day is all about. Situations which tripped us up before fade away with the dawning of a new day. We see things in a new light.

Love ya!

Like the line Taking it easy making love out of hate....i forgive my lover who rejected me for another and don't hate him, just don't love3 him no more either. I can forgive now but not forget....
So i've got it out of context to yours' ---you'rs is better.
