An unwanted tree is finally cut down. For five years, I have wanted this very tall chestnut tree removed. Family, friends and visitors complained about this tree being a nuisance. Not to mention, it's large roots damaged our driveway and sidewalk, for it was way too close to our house. Falling dead branches, falling nuts were hitting the cars and people on the head, who were seeing stars as they trip over the above ground large roots. May I say more about the larged roots that had crawled under our basement and cracked the basement floor.
Five years ago, a man gave me an estimate to cut down this tree for $ 250.00. However, the timing was never quite right. I held on tight to his estimate and my desire to have this tall tree removed.
Five years later, I went on a tree service hunt to find someone, who wouldn't mind to cut down my tree for the frozen estimate of $250.00. The cold estimate from the past was looking mighty grim and ridiculous. As they looked up at the tree, I was told, "Good luck ma'am."
I was bouncing up and down with estimates of $950.00 to $550.00. It saddened me to think about my worst fear, seeing this tree stand for another year. I had a few drops of faith left to seek one more tree service. And, they agreed to the frozen $250.00
Poof... Tree Be Gone.
I will add, we were left with $3,000 repair bill. Now that the tree is gone, we were able to widen our narrow driveway. The yellow sun can take a bow and luminously shine beautifully down on my rose garden. I will tell you this, I gladly kissed that tree goodbye. We believe as homeowners, it was in our best interest to take action and lay the tall chestnut tree to rest.
God will deliver your heart's desire on a silver platter, when you are ready to accept His offer
