From an Acorn

Some things defy explanations;the acorn's relationship to the oak tree is just one of the miracles of nature that has always fascinated me.

From an Acorn

From a modest acorn

Comes the huge oak tree.

Is there any explaining this mystery?

How can something so majestic and grand

Emerge from a small nut  lying dormant in the land?

How do I grasp the miracle

Of such perplexity?

Is there any explaining

The acorn's progeny?

Substance for reflection indeed, Barbara. We are surrounded by wonders that we often take for granted or simply ignore. Love and best wishes,
