A cold rainy night with nothing but time...
I sit looking at memories from a book.
Faces from younger days...
never changing, always young.

Turning pages of a life long gone...
when hearts pounded fast thinking of a kiss.
That first kiss for a young man...
in love for the first time.

Looking at friends arm in arm...
laughing and smiling as if not a care in the world.
Promises of friendships not to be forgotten...
best of buddies and friends forever.

Page after page I remember those days...
when worries were few and far apart.
A time when friends turned lovers then back again...
where bonds where formed with good intent.

Reading the comments of freewheeling youth...
laughing at the carefree words of the time.
Words of humor, love, sadness and joy...
to be forever saved on the pages.

Seeing the faces of some never seen again...
crying as I see the face of one who took her own end.
Remembering the promises of forever true ...
and bonds that were not to be unbroken.

For in this yearbook lays a young mans life...
from a time long ago when all was clear and bright.
In this book of days gone by...
I still find those bonds kept forever inside.

As long as you have those memories, they will always live.

"Memories...
Like the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were..."

May your memories be forever pleasant...and your future ones great!
