A short poem about the power of passion in helping us unfold ourselves.

HER PASSION

by

Bill Cottringer

Her passion took me

From part of the way,

To most of the way,

To all the way;

From the raging rapids

To the waterfall,
To calmer waters,
To the still beneath.

From seeing,
To knowing,
To feeling,
To being

Good,

Better,

Best.

From nothing,

To something,

To everything;

Without fear,
Without judgment,
Without hesitation;

With honesty,

With hope,
With passion.

 Her passion took me
To the place
Where words stop short,
A place beyond thought.

 Showing herself to me,
Ourselves to us,
And me to myself;
All with passion.
