IN THE NAME OF LOVE
By Bill Cottringer
In the name of love,
My heart has bled all its blood,
My mind lost its shreds of sanity;
My body all its fires
And my soul all its desires.
But only to make my wounded heart
Grow bigger for a new start.
Life does go on.
But what will come?
With patience and acceptance
Of the good in pain,
Without desperation or judgment
Of disappointment;
Perhaps the love of a lifetime,
Rekindling my dormant desires;
Restoring sanity, feelings and fires.
Healing to be more appealing,
Becoming more lovable;
Learning to love
Alone or together.
