What to Say?
By
Bill Cottringer
Looking at the river,
Flowing to the falls,
Seeing what I know,
Just the simple sight,
Enjoying it so fully,
Without need for words,
Wandering in my mind,
Getting lost in between,
The river and me,
Making it harder to see;
The wise write words,
The less wise read them,
Passing on more words,
Needing to telling others,
About this something,
Those words interpret,
Making this thing,
Yet harder to see,
Let alone enjoy.
