The Grand Illusion
By
Bill Cottringer
We have this grand illusion,
That creates much confusion—
That we can actually have
Our cake & eat it too;
Try as we may though,
To have two hands full,
Both are always empty;
At least until we finally see,
The absolute necessity,
To focus on the one hand,
Getting it as full as we can stand,
Then letting the other guard it.
