Those who suffer the most taking the long way home, are in the best position to help others who desire, to find the shorter, less painful path.

THE LONG WAY HOME

Why was I so deaf
to all the gentle whispersó
trying to guide me
to the painless path?

Why did I drown in pride,
taking the long road homeó
buried in such darkness
that nobody knows?

Maybe Iíve suffered so,
to open my heart,
to shine itís light
toward a less painful path.

I canít light this darkness
all on my own,
so Iíll listen to whispers
of others who want to know.

This very thought
offers a glimmer of light,
to see past this deafening silence
and find the painless path.

The Prosperity Zone

I always took the long way home when I was young, saved me many a time from an untimely demise.

Bill, well done. It is always harder to find the right path. Very easy to go astray.
