Lonely

Listen to me workin man,

You make your living with your mind or hands.

Don't do what I did and wish your life away,

Always wishing that it was Friday.

I didn't know it then but the working days was the best days of my life,

I had my two small sons and my best friend Melody, my wife.

My kids would eagerly wait for me to get home,

Hugs from my wife and my two sons,

Like golden raindrops on my tongue.

Better than silver or gold, I was Daddy and I was Hun,

But most of all I felt like number one.

Too many of us have lived for tomorrow, and neglected to appreciate today. I enjoyed this poem Daniel, it echoes my own thoughts.
