I hope the strangers I meet would see
something kind in me,
I always try to bid them a smile or hello
everywhere that I go,
I believe it just makes the world a better place
to be kind to people always,
For we no not what they go through in
their daily lives,
Maybe a smile or hello would suffice,
Hopefully it would make them feel that the world
is a little more nice,
And in any case they would know
that they have been acknowledged by a kind soul,
We have no way of knowing what a
simple nod would do,
To let anyone know,
They are recognized too.

Even though smiles sometimes are hard to come by when we may be going through trials ourselves, it's worth the effort, as you record in this poem. Sometimes when I smile at someone who looks really sad, I pray that they will feel a touch from God through my smile.
A wise and loving poem!

Daniel, this is, in my opinion, a great poem. Great because it speaks of those things which bring a smile to the face of God. I've been on the receiving end of others smiles and kindness many times, and God is glorified!

I completely concur with you, Daniel. A smile goes a long way. Sadly, few people seem to be willing to part with one so easily these days. Thank you. Love and peace,

Bravo, Daniel!
Sometimes, a smile is all it takes to make a connection that can easily heal, comfort,or encourage.
Thanks for reminding me to "smile often".
Much success-

Hey Daniel, this is a very good poem.Just like Linda,I too have been nice towards people by having a smile on my face.Sometimes they don't always say hello or smile right back at me,but that's ok because there are millions of people who will appreciate kindness. One day those people will be grateful if they are in trouble and some stranger save their lives.take care.I enjoy this poem a lot

Nicely done, Daniel. My sentiments exactly. You know my precious father used to carry Werther's candy in his pocket everywhere he went. He gave them to complete strangers and called them friend. My uncle does the same thing today in Newfoundland. Every time he gases up his vehicle, he gives the service station worker a handful of candy. It's not much, but it is always appreciated. My Mom used to bring chocolates and candy canes to the detoc centre annonymously every Christmas for the last 10 years of her life. Simple human kindness can do so much.
Hugs,
Anna |

Daniel,
This poem moved me. I've often watched people pass each other in the street, not a smile or nod or hello can be found. What has happened to the smile, the hello. Sometimes a smile may mean alot to a soul who sees none. Daniel, I too pass people with a smile on my face, sometimes a hello. Sometimes I get one back, sometimes not. I can tell your heart is in the right place, Daniel. Keep writing. I'm going to start tracking you.
Blessings always,
~Linda |
